Community at the Core

From the beginning, the Dunguza Football Project has been community-led. We don’t rely on large-scale funding or outside investors. Instead, we are fueled by the strength, unity, and generosity of our members—parents, neighbors, youth, and volunteers who give what they can, when they can.

Some contribute time, showing up early to prepare the training ground. Others bring water, clean kits, or help organize local matches. Many offer encouragement and help spread the word. These small acts, when combined, make a big difference.

Coach Mathewos: A Living Example

Leading by example is Coach Mathewos, who volunteers his time and energy every day to train, mentor, and guide the youth. He asks for nothing in return but gives everything he has—his knowledge, patience, and heart. His dedication inspires others to contribute in their own way, creating a cycle of giving that sustains the project.
